Cartoon Club – International Festival of animated films, comics and games was born in 1985 from the experience of Acli Arte e Spettacolo Rimini, it is one of the most historic festivals on the Italian scene.
Cartoon Club is not just a festival for all animation works – with special emphasis on short films, it is a real network, which deals with:
- comic literature;
- exhibitions;
- educational and social projects;
- original shows where images, music and theater merge;
- educational activities in schools;
- Riminicomix, market exhibition dedicated to comics and gadgets;
- Cosplay Convention
Moreover, it carries out an intense editorial activity, through the publication of books and catalogs on themes or protagonists of the ninth art and animation cinema.
Cartoon Club produces Fumo di China, a historical monthly magazine dedicated to the criticism of comics (Freecom s.r.l. editions).
In March 2017, a collaboration was officially formalized with Doc Servizi, the most important cooperative organization that takes care of spectacle workers and new professions 4.0 of the industry. From this collaboration was born “Doc Comics & Cartoon“, a joint venture that aims to develop services and opportunities for all professionals in animated films, comics, games. Doc Servizi protects its professionalism and offers social security, legal, fiscal and contractual advice, but above all a network of contacts to create synergies with all the institutions of the publishing and media world (old and new) and between professionals, to look for work’s opportunities through public and private Institution.
